Photo Documentary: Building a Hmong House


During 1995-96, the Southeast Asia Community Resource Center participated ina nationwide project, "Hmong in America," organized by the Chippewa Museumin Wisconsin, and funded by the National Endowment of the Humanities.As a collateral project, California State University Sacramento's Departmentof Anthropology sponsored a community-university project: the building of a2/3 size Hmong house in the CSUS Anthropology Museum.

The pictures that follow document the building of the house, which involvedelders from the community working with their children and grandchildren(CSUS students) to build a house inside the museum. New Info.
